15th July 2024 - Colm Brophy TD

Colm Brophy TD has been selected by Fine Gael to represent the party in the Dublin South-West constituency in the General Election.

Party members selected Deputy Brophy tonight (Monday) in a convention held in the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght, which was chaired by Senator Barry Ward.

Fine Gael have now chosen 10 General Election candidates in seven constituencies.

Deputy Brophy said, “I am delighted to have been selected by the local Fine Gael membership in Dublin South-West to continue to represent the party and contest the next General Election in our constituency and I never take that support for granted.

“From my time as a councillor on South Dublin County Council to being first elected to the Dáil in 2016 they have always encouraged and supported me in my work as Councillor, TD and Minister.

“It has always been an honour to work hard for this constituency and represent the views of the people, our communities, and our local businesses, both in Leinster House and internationally.

“I look forward to engaging with everyone and to ask for their number one vote to return me as their TD for the third time.”
