Development Minister Joe McHugh has announced €45,000 in funding to the Inishowen Development Partnership

The funding is part of the Irish Aid development education grants scheme for 2017 and will support the Change Makers project.
The Donegal TD said today that the work of the programme is helping to change lives in developing nations.
Minister McHugh recently attended a Fair Trade event in Carndonagh and talked to volunteers from across Donegal involved in the project.
The Donegal Deputy said: “I am delighted to announce funding of €45,000 to the Inishowen Development Partnership as part of the Irish Aid development education annual grants scheme for 2017.
“These annual grants reflect our commitment to support community and academic groups to raise awareness of issue of global hunger, poverty and injustice and of, crucially, what we as citizens can do together to take on these issues.
“In Donegal, the Inishowen Development Partnership is at the heart of this process with the Change Makers project. In partnership with Donegal ETB and Gorta-Self Help Africa, the Partnership enables individuals and communities to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of other globally.
“Through workshops and training, the project tackles issues such as migration, the Sustainable Development Goals, climate change and Fairtrade.
“It creates a stronger community of people who see themselves as global citizens. I wish the Inishowen Development Partnership every success with the continuation of their long standing Change Makers project.”
