Fine Gael Clare Senator, Martin Conway, has today (Wednesday), welcomed the announcement by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation, Richard Bruton TD that Optel Vision, a leading Canadian, company is to create 140 new jobs in Limerick as part of a new European expansion.
“I am delighted at the decision by Optel Vision, which specialises in Track&Trace and vision inspection solutions for the manufacturing industries to create a permanent operation in Limerick. This expansion represents Optel Vision’s first operation and engineering service outside of North America as it moves to build up its presence in the European market.
“The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
“The announcement is a great boost for the Mid –West particularly in light of the fact that the company choose to locate in Limerick because of its reputation as a place of excellence and local talent. I look forward to similar positive announcements in the near future.”
