Brendan Griffin TD
Brendan was elected to the Dáil in February 2011 from the Kerry South constituency, topping the poll with 8,808 first preference votes. He had previously served as a member of Kerry County Council since June 2009, when he was elected from the Dingle Electoral Area. He also contested the 2004 local election in the same area, after which he worked as Parliamentary Assistant to Jimmy Deenihan TD, until 2007, when he established his own business.
Brendan is a very hard-working TD, who believes in striking a healthy balance between his constituency and legislative duties. When in Kerry, Brendan makes a special effort to provide an efficient and accessible service to his constituents and works very hard to ensure that everyone has a chance to have their voice heard. In Leinster House, Brendan is a very active participant in Dáil and Committee work and is a frequent contributor at internal Fine Gael policy discussions.
He is married to Róisín and lives in the parish of Keel, on the foothills of the Sliabh Mish Mountains on the Dingle Peninsula.
