Another Step in the Right Direction for North Quays – Minister Coffey
8th January 2016 - Senator Paudie Coffey
Fine Gael Waterford Minister Paudie Coffey has said that he expects the North Quays Site in Waterford City to be designated as a Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) at tomorrow’s cabinet meeting. Minister Coffey said that this designation will bring certainty to the entire brownfield site on the North Side of the River Suir that has the potential to be a game-changer for Our City and Our Region.
Minister Coffey said; “A memo will be presented at tomorrow’s cabinet meeting, where I expect the North Quays to be designated as an SDZ. This is another important step for the future development of this key site in Waterford City. The North Quays site is currently a black mark on Waterford City but has huge potential to deliver additional office space for the region and improve connectivity across the River Suir.”
