Additional 50 jobs for East Point as Irish company goes from strength to strength – Donohoe
8th October 2014 - Fine Gael Press Office
Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, and Fine Gael Deputy for Dublin Central, Paschal Donohoe TD, has today (Wednesday) welcomed the announcement of an additional 50 new jobs at Irish company, FINEOS, at East Point Business Park. This comes on the back of 50 jobs announced yesterday for East Point at the multinational tech company, Citrix.
“The news of another 50 jobs for East Point today is a clear indication of the value companies put on the area and the work force that is available there. It is heartening to see that the number of new jobs announced yesterday by Cirtix is being match today by Irish company, FINEOS.
“Creating an environment in which multinationals are encouraged to set up and expand operations in Ireland has played, and continues to play, a huge part in our recovery. However, ensuring that opportunities are there for our home-grown, indigenous industries is also essential to the development of our economy and to our positioning.
“Today’s announcement coincides with the opening of the new FINEOS global headquarters and R&D facilities at Eastpoint Business Park Dublin, demonstrating the strength of the company and the impact it is having on what is a seriously competitive global market. Software has been a key target area of Minister Bruton’s Action Plan for Jobs and I am delighted that it is reaping dividends such as those we are witnessing here today.”
