Taoiseach appoints Seán Kelly to lead Fine Gael MEPs in Europe

Taoiseach Simon Harris TD has today confirmed he has appointed Seán Kelly MEP to lead Fine Gael MEPs in Europe.
Speaking today, the Taoiseach said: “Seán Kelly is a born leader. Through his entire career, Seán has excelled at everything he puts his mind to.
“I am delighted to reappoint him as Head of our Delegation in the European Parliament. Fine Gael has a team of experience and energy in our four MEPs and I am looking forward to working closely with them.
“Together, we will work to deliver for Ireland.
“We need strong leadership in Europe at this time of global instability. Fine Gael will be that team to lead for you on the issues that matter to you, your community and our country.”
Seán Kelly MEP said: “I am honoured to have been appointed leader of the Fine Gael MEP group once again in Europe and wish to thank An Taoiseach for placing his confidence in me.
“It is a privilege to be part of a team of very capable people who will represent Fine Gael and the constituencies of Ireland South, Midlands North-West and Dublin in the European Parliament. I look forward to continuing my work and to all of us delivering for the people who elected us.”
