Mayo can become a hub for sustainable energy and lead the way in Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon economy.”
In addition to the environmental benefits, Deputy Dillon recognises the project’s positive impact on the local community.
“The construction and operation of this multi-million euro state-of-the-art facility will create numerous job opportunities and stimulate economic growth in our communities. I am immensely proud to see Mayo at the forefront of sustainable energy initiatives, and this project will bring significant benefits to our region.”
Furthermore, the green hydrogen production facility will play a pivotal role in helping Ireland achieve its climate goals.
“Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to a low-carbon economy are critical for Ireland’s sustainable development. Green hydrogen offers a versatile and sustainable solution, powering various sectors and paving the way for a more sustainable future,” the Fine Gael TD said.
Deputy Dillon concluded by extending his warmest congratulations to Constants Energy Limited and all stakeholders involved in the design and development of this ground-breaking green hydrogen production facility.
“I wish to express my heartfelt congratulations to Constants Energy Limited for their vision and dedication to this investment in Mayo. Their efforts will not only benefit our county but also contribute to Ireland’s sustainable development goals.
