James Geoghegan asks people of Dublin Bay South to give him their Number 1 vote on Thursday
6th July 2021 - James Geoghegan
Fine Gael bye-election candidate James Geoghegan is asking the people of Dublin Bay South to give him their number one vote on polling day this Thursday (July 8th).
James Geoghegan was pictured with his wife Claire and two young sons Hugh (3) and Harry (1) in the final days of the campaign.
Reflecting on recent weeks, Councillor Geoghegan said: “I want to thank everyone for the courtesy they’ve shown me and the hundreds of volunteers that have come out to canvass for me over the past few weeks.
“It’s been humbling to see the support from within the Fine Gael family right across the country with people campaigning at all times of the day, seven days of the week.
“Since I was first elected as a local councillor, I have worked my heart out for this community on many issues, including helping businesses to reopen, advocating for more school places and supporting local sports clubs to secure new pitches.
“I love this constituency. I was born and raised in it as was my wife Claire and I would love nothing more than the opportunity to represent the views of Dublin Bay South constituents in Dáil Éireann.
“Helping people has been the most rewarding part of my job and it has been a privilege to represent this community during these difficult times.
“As we emerge now from the pandemic and navigate the road to recovery, I now want the opportunity to be a TD that will put forward the views of this constituency. I promise that if you put your trust in me, I will not let you down.”
