Major primary care project for Drimnagh – Byrne

A NEW primary care centre for Dublin 12 has been confirmed by Fine Gael Minister Catherine Byrne.

Minister Byrne, a Dublin South Central TD, has today (Friday) confirmed the green light has been given for a new primary care centre for Drimnagh along with a new building for the Mother McAuley Centre and the Alzheimer’s Centre on the same site.

Minister Byrne visited the centre today with the Minister for Health Simon Harris and met with staff, HSE, and local residents who were at the day centre for their Christmas celebrations.

“I am delighted to confirm that funding is in place in the HSE capital plan for the delivery of the primary care centre for Drimnagh.

“The development will also consist of a new building for the Mother McAuley Centre and the Alzheimer’s Centre which provide fantastic care and support services for members of the local community.

“The project will now proceed to final design in 2020 and construction will start on site on this major project in 2021.

“This is a huge opportunity for real investment in our community and health services and I know the local community have sought this for a long time. I will continue to keep them up to date as it progresses,” Minister Byrne said.
