€200 million in funding is a major boost to the Irish Film Industry – Neville

Over €200 million in new funding will be a major boost to the Irish Film Industry over the next decade, Limerick TD, Tom Neville has said.
The funding was announced by Minister for Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan as part of an unprecedented €1.2 billion investment in our culture, language and heritage.
This funding will bring Film Board capital investment to an average of €20m per annum over the period of the plan.
Deputy Neville said: “I am delighted to see this investment in the Irish Film Industry. Irish film is known throughout the world for its incredible creativity dedicated professionals.
“Time and time again, major productions come to our shores because they know that we have the skills-base here.
“This funding will help the Film Industry here hit even greater heights over the next decade.”
