Town and Village Renewal Scheme to receive further funding next year- Deering
10th October 2017 - Pat Deering TD
Local communities will benefit from further funding allocated to the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, a Fine Gael TD has said.
Carlow Deputy Pat Deering said the Budget 2018 announcement will spell more good news for the people and families of Carlow, after it was revealed the local area would receive a total of €884,000 last week.
Deputy Deering said: “I am delighted to announce that funding for the Town and Village Renewal Scheme will be increased by €3 million next year.
“A total of 11 community initiatives received funding to enhance our local areas last week, and the Budget allocation will ensure even more of our towns and villages across Carlow will benefit next year.
“This is an excellent opportunity to create a more vibrant, inclusive future for our communities and support the people and families who live in rural Ireland.”
