What is the point of Fianna Fáil?

Attributable to a spokesman:

Earlier on Morning Ireland, Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin:

– Confirmed his party’s lack of a jobs policy. This is in stark contrast to the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs which has added over 125,000 jobs to the economy to date and will replace all the jobs Fianna Fáil lost by 2018.

– Defended his party’s plan to maintain the high tax burden on ordinary workers. Fianna Fáil voted against the Government’s tax and USC cuts earlier this year.

– Ruled out coalition and therefore entering government. But his newest TD Bobby Aylward said on the same programme that many Fianna Fáil members would like to enter Government with Sinn Féin as they come from the same republican background.

What is the point of the same old Fianna Fáil?
