New jobs for Ennis demonstrates the recovery is strengthening – Breen
24th November 2014 -
Fine Gael TD for Clare, Pat Breen, has today (Monday) welcomed plans by TTM Healthcare to create 100 new jobs, mostly in Ennis. Deputy Breen said the new positions were further evidence that the economic recovery is strengthening.
“Today’s announcement marks a major expansion by TTM Healthcare, which is investing €5 million in its business. The majority of these 100 jobs will be located in Ennis. TTM is an Irish company, founded in Co. Clare in 2002, and I am delighted to see that the company is now significantly expanding its operations here. These new skilled positions will be in recruitment, compliance and sales. The company already employs 190 permanent staff and 900 healthcare contractors.
“This is a vote of confidence in the Irish economy and particularly in Co. Clare. The Government is focused on securing the recovery by prioritising job creation and investment. There are increasing signs of revival in the economy and it is our priority to secure and strengthen the recovery.
“Later today the Taoiseach will open the new Genworth Financial International Business Centre in Shannon which supports the needs of over 3 million customers around the globe and houses 400 staff, representing 17 countries and 16 languages. This demonstrates a further commitment the business is making to the region, with a €15 million investment.”
“Our economic plan is working. The decision to reduce the income tax burden over three years, which began in October’s budget, will create jobs as domestic spending and consumer confidence will grow, the incentive to work is strengthened, and investment by business is encouraged.”
