Jobs announcement is proof of Cork’s attractiveness for investment – Murphy
3rd November 2014 - Aoife Carragher
The Minister for European Affairs and Data Protection Dara Murphy TD announced today that the Canadian company OpenText, a global leader in the software sector, is to expand its operations in Cork – with plans to create up to 105 highly skilled roles over the next two years.
Speaking at the Company’s premises in Cork, Minister Murphy said: “ I am truly delighted to be here today for OpenText’s announcement. Not only does the expansion of OpenText’s global customer support centre create more jobs, it is an endorsement of Cork’s attractiveness for investment by one of the world’s leading technology companies.
“Partnerships between industry, the Government and IDA Ireland, such as is the case with OpenText, demonstrate that these relationships deliver significant long-term benefits for areas like Cork, the economy, the companies themselves and their customers.”
