Henry welcomes €57,000 in Government funding for new MS therapy centre in Sligo
4th July 2014 - Sarah Meade
Fine Gael Sligo Senator, Imelda Henry, has today (Friday) said that she is delighted to have received confirmation from the Minister for Health, James Reilly TD, that he has approved €57,000 in funding for the new MS North West Therapy Centre in Sligo.
“This is fantastic news for all of the staff and patients at the therapy centre, which provides incredible care and support to people with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
“Minister Reilly came to visit the centre when it was still just a building site, and I know he fully appreciates the vital support it gives to patients and their families.
“The state-of-the-art facility relies heavily on fundraising, and I am sure that this €57,000 approved by the Government will make a significant difference to all of those involved.
“I would like to commend the board and all of the staff at the therapy centre for all of their dedication and hard work, and I have no doubt that they will put this €57,000 to excellent use.”
