Hopkins addresses Ard Fheis to introduce Taoiseach

Cllr Maura Hopkins, the Fine Gael general election candidate for Roscommon and East Galway, was this week selected by Fine Gael to address the Ard Fheis and introduce an Taoiseach Enda Kenny to the 3,000 strong crowd in City West, Dublin.
Earlier in the day, Cllr Hopkins had also appeared in a televised section of the Ard Fheis, putting forward a motion on the importance of support for young farmers. She stated that young farmers will be the main drivers of the agricultural industry and will push to achieve Food Wise 2025 goals and are particularly critical to rural economies.
“Investment in our young farmers is investment in the future prosperity of the industry, the economy and the country”.
Speaking on the Saturday with Claire Byrne show, €‹ €‹ Hopkins stated that the recovery is ongoing and we need a Government representative that knows this area to ensure that the region receives its fair share of services and investment and that the recovery is felt throughout Roscommon and East Galway.
