Minister for Jobs to host regional business forum in Longford on November 5th – Bannon

25th October 2013 - James Bannon TD

Fine Gael TD for Longford/Westmeath, James Bannon, has today said that the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, has accepted his invitation to host a regional business forum in Longford on November 5th 2013 to discuss job creation in the region with a host of key stakeholders from businesses, Enterprise Ireland and the IDA.

“I am delighted that Minister Bruton has accepted my invitation to host a regional business forum in Longford on November 5th at 6pm in the Longford Arms Hotel, as part of my efforts to put a greater focus on job creation in the region.

“I am encouraging business owners in the region to attend this forum which will be an ideal opportunity to discuss with the Minister any ideas they have to generate employment in the Midlands. It is imperative that we come together and build on the success that Enterprise Ireland and the IDA have had over the last year in supporting the creation of 34,000 jobs in this country.

“Longford has a wealth of skilled and dedicated workers and, by coming together for this forum, we can identify how best to position Longford to potential investors from home and abroad, with a view to creating much needed jobs in the region.

“For the sake of the future economic development of Longford, I would urge those with business interests in Longford to join us on Tuesday, November 5th at 6pm in the Longford Arms Hotel.”
The agenda for the forum is as follows:
·               6 €“ 6.30pm: Registration with tea / coffee
