Lawlor Welcomes Jobs Announcement for HP in Leixlip
9th February 2012 - Senator Anthony Lawlor
Kildare North Deputy, Anthony Lawlor, warmly welcomes the announcement today from HP that 150 jobs are to be created in their Leixlip and Galway plants. These research and development jobs are supported by the IDA Ireland and today’s expansion will result in a further 130 technical and support roles at a later date.
“This jobs announcement is another huge boost to the people of Kildare North. The wide variety of jobs being generated by HP highlights the company’s faith and belief in the existing talent pool of Irish graduates. Not alone are engineers and computer scientists being sought, but roles are also being created for those with project management, high end application development and systems analysis experience. Recruitment for these new roles is to commence immediately.
“I am delighted that the Government’s plans to attract further Foreign Direct Investment into Ireland is proving successful and that Kildare is being seen as very much ‘open for business'” concluded Anthony Lawlor TD.
