LAWLOR WELCOMES €350 MILLION CONTRACT FOR KILL BASED COMPANY

Anthony Lawlor, TD, welcomed the announcement that the Kill based company, BAM Ireland, has secured the contract for a €350 million project with the National Roads Authority.
Anthony said “This is great news for BAM Ireland and for the area, as it is expected to secure up to 2,500 jobs starting in early 2016. BAM Ireland have also just completed the Newlands Cross flyover, which has significantly eased traffic congestion on the N7”.
The public-private partnership (PPP) project is for the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy motorway project in Co Wexford and construction activity is due to commence in January 2016.
The project will involve the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of 31.4km of the M11 motorway, with sections of dual carriageway and the N80 Link Road routes, together with the design, construction and financing of the 8km single carriageway on the N30 route.
