43 new jobs for Dublin South a welcome boost

Fine Gael TD for Dublin South, Peter Mathews, has today welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation, Richard Bruton, of 43 new jobs to be created in Government-supported start-up companies in Belfield, Stillorgan and Sandyford.

“I am delighted with today’s announcement of 43 new jobs for Dublin South. Tethras Technology Ltd, which develops software for mobile application developers, is creating 16 new jobs in Belfield; Sim Travel, which provides local SIM cards for visitors to Ireland to call overseas, is creating 14 new jobs in Sandyford; and Cab Call Communications Ltd, which has developed an automated location-based dispatch system for the taxi industry, is creating 13 new jobs in Stillorgan.

“This is a welcome boost to the local economy. Job creation is the number one priority for this Government. Last August, 85 new jobs were announced in South Dublin. Today’s additional announcement means that 128 local families have been provided with an income and a livelihood over the last few months.

“This is a vote of confidence in the Government’s management of the economy and provides hope for the many unfortunate people that are unemployed. I am delighted to see that businesses are reacting to the improvement in competitiveness by expanding their workforce.”
