19th May 2017 - Fergus O'Dowd TD
Fine Gael TD for Louth and East Meath, Fergus O’Dowd, has warmly welcomed the announcement today that 25 new jobs will be provided in Drogheda through Aphix Software, an award winning fintech software company.
Deputy O’Dowd said: “This is fantastic news for the people of Drogheda, these are high tech professional jobs and I want to personally thank CEO Graham O’Rourke and his team for planting significant roots in the town of Drogheda.
“This is an extremely exciting time for the company who are looking at rapidly expanding in particular in the UK market. This again shows the confidence local entrepreneurs are showing in the face of upcoming Brexit challenges.”
Deputy O’Dowd added: “I would also like to congratulate the Enterprise Mill and its staff on the continued support it is providing to growing businesses.
“This announcement shows that the need for a phase 3 of the Mill is essential to continue the levels of employment it has already provided in phases 1 and 2.
“The new positions, supported by the Department of Jobs, through Enterprise Ireland are across many areas of the business to include customer success, software engineering and development. Recruitment has begun with all positions to be filled over the next 12 to 36 months.”
