120 new jobs expected for Eastpoint Business Park – Donohoe
9th July 2015 -
Welcoming the announcement this afternoon (Thursday) of an expected 120 new jobs for Eastpoint Business Park, the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, and the Fine Gael TD for Dublin Central, Paschal Donohoe, said the growth of targeted sectors of the economy, such as the financial tech sector, demonstrates the success of the Minister for Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation, Richard Bruton’s Action Plan for Jobs strategy.
The jobs, which are being created by Coupa Software, will come on stream across the coming three to five years and will be in areas such as marketing, finance, technical account management and tech support.
Minister Donohoe said: ‘Following on from the announcement of 100 new jobs for Dublin Central at KamaGames only last week, I am delighted to hear of the further expansion of Coupa Software at Eastpoint Business Park. As the economy develops and more people get back to work it is essential that we drive on even harder to ensure that we are attracting new business and encouraging those who are here to expand operations’.
“Coupa is one of many companies that has chosen Dublin as its European hub and the official opening of its offices today is a cause for celebration. The clustering, and development, of businesses around Eastpoint Business Park and the IFSC tells its own story and sends a strong signal to others that Dublin is a serious contender worthy of consideration. Unemployment rates continue to fall, which is great news, however, it is up to the Government to put the policies in place to make sure that we remain an attractive option and that companies just like Coupa are enticed into doing business here.”
