100 high-end cloud computing jobs for Sandyford
28th June 2012 - Olivia Mitchell TD
Fine Gael TD for Dublin South, Olivia Mitchell, has today (Thursday) warmly welcomed the announcement of 100 new high-end jobs by Salesforce.com, which is based in the Sandyford Business Park.
“Salesforce.com first set up in Ireland in 2000 and it is fantastic to see them reinforce their roots here and expand their workforce.
“This is a highly innovative and high-growth company at the cutting edge of cloud computing, in particular with their social enterprise solution, which harnesses the power of social media.
“It is telling that Salesforce.com is confident it can attract the people it needs to lead that growth in Ireland. These are high-end jobs in sales, marketing, IT and customer support and are based in cloud-computing, one of the key sectors identified in the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs.
“These jobs are great news for the newly-formed Dublin Rathdown constituency. Located in the Sandyford Business Park, Salesforce.com is very well serviced by excellent infrastructure, such as the Luas, the M50 and respected third level institutions, providing training and research.
“The Government’s announcement earlier this year to invest €700,000 to improve the adjacent Leopardstown Roundabout and access roads to both business parks displays a commitment to use scarce resources to maximum effect.
“Salesforce.com is holding a recruitment event in the Morrison Hotel on the evening of July 5th. I would encourage anyone interested in securing one of the new jobs to go along and check out the positions on offer or to log on to www.salesforce.com/eu/careers.”
